Review of Key Features and Benefits of the KUFA T30 Trail Camera
Camera
The T30’s camera has a photo resolution of 20MP and can record videos in 1080p Full-HD resolution. For a mini trail camera, this is superior quality, especially when you consider the fact that so many other mini trail cameras currently take 12-16MP pictures and some can only record video in 720p.
In addition to the standard picture and video modes, there is the photo+video mode, where the camera shoots some photos before automatically recording a video. Using the camera in photo+video mode is a great way to diversify your footage and is the mode I like using the most.
Motion Sensor
The passive infrared sensor or, PIR, is a crucial component of a trail camera. It detects motion within its detection range and triggers the camera to start capturing. The T30 has a single, centrally located motion sensor with a 120° detection angle. It has a 65-foot detection range.
The motion sensor is adjustable with three sensitivity settings: high, medium, or low. For best results, you will probably want to have it set to the high setting in most situations. However, you might want to switch to a lower setting if you are struggling with the camera getting false triggers.
Trigger Speeds
A fantastic thing about this mini trail camera is its fast trigger speed of 0.2-seconds. This is a fast trigger speed compared to other mini trail cameras, most of which have trigger speeds in the 0.3 to the 0.5-second range. It even compares favorably to most larger trail cameras.
Flash
The KUFA T30 comes with 22pcs 850nm low glow LEDs. This low glow flash gives it a 65-foot flash range, which is a very common distance on trail cameras today. This is about what you should expect on an affordably priced mini trail camera.
The flash will not spook game animals and won’t visibly illuminate the area being photographed or recorded. However, the LEDs on the front of the camera will give off a slight red glow when the flash is in use, which is true for all low glow trail cameras.
Dimensions
As expected, the T30 has small dimensions of 3.5 x 4.3 x 1.8 inches and can fit into your palm. The good thing about its small size is that the camera will not draw much attention from animals, not to mention vandals or thieves. If you use multiple trail cameras, the T30’s compact size makes it easy and convenient to throw several cameras into a backpack and take them out to the woods.
Time-Lapse Feature
The KUFA T30 has a time-lapse mode. When you set the camera to the time-lapse mode, it will take pictures and videos at set intervals that you select. Using the time-lapse feature can be helpful if you want to monitor the area that is beyond the range of the PIR sensor, are having troubles with false triggers, or want to document slow-moving natural events.
Hours of Operation Timer
The hours of operation timer lets you specify the time you want the camera to be active. It is an excellent feature to enable if you don’t need the camera to monitor the area 24/7. Plus, using this feature can help save on battery use and storage space on the memory card.
LCD Screen
The T30 has a 2-inch color TFT LCD screen, which makes setting up the camera a breeze. It can also be used to preview images and videos in the field.
Memory Card
As with all trail cameras, you will need a memory card to store your pictures and videos. The T30 can accommodate microSD/SDHC memory cards with a capacity of up to 32GB. We are not big fans of microSD cards as their small size makes them easy to lose or misplace especially when you are in the field.
The Kufa T30 comes with a 32GB microSDHC memory card. However, as we discussed in our article about how often you should check your trail camera, you want to have an extra memory card for your trail cameras. That way when you go to check your trail camera you can minimize the time that it takes to do so thereby reducing any disturbance your presence makes on wildlife.

Password Protection
The T30’s password protection feature will allow you to rest easy knowing unwanted people won’t be able to access the camera to change its settings and look at your pictures and videos. Enabling the feature is easy. All you need to do is go into the settings and provide a password of your choosing.
Batteries
The Kufa trail camera runs on 4 AA batteries. While a set of alkaline batteries are included with the camera, we recommend using lithium batteries for the longest battery life and best performance.

The KUFA T30 has an input to support 6V external power supplies with at least 1.5A. Using a solar panel or other external power supply allows you to run the camera 24/7 indefinitely without worrying about the batteries running out.
However, the one negative about using an external power supply with a mini trail camera is that it will make the camera easier to spot and steal. This goes counter to one of the reasons many people buy mini trail cameras, which is because they are small, and easily hidden.
Image Stamp
Virtually all trail cameras have an image stamp showing the time, date, and other important details from when a picture or video was captured, and the KUFA T30 is no different. The T30’s image stamp can help you to organize your data much more efficiently and help you to more easily uncover patterns of behavior when monitoring game animals. While the fact that it has a low glow flash isn’t an issue for most people, it isn’t for me and I use my trail cameras on public hunting land, you need to keep in mind that the camera’s location can be visible at night if someone is looking directly at the camera at the exact time the flash is in use. You will want to factor this into your decision of where to place the camera if it is essential that its location remains undetectable at night.

These differences include taking lower resolution pictures and videos (12MP & 720p), having a PIR sensor with a smaller detection range and angle (49 feet & 50°), and a trigger speed that is a bit slower (0.5 seconds). Campark T20 Mini Trail Camera
If you want a great mini trail camera and don’t need it to have a no glow flash, the Campark T20 mini trail camera is a great choice. The T20 has a lower picture resolution (16MP) and a slightly slower trigger speed (0.5 seconds) when compared to the KUFA T30. That said, prior to the KUFA T30’s release we considered the Campark T20 to be our overall favorite in the mini trail camera category.
