Browning Trail Camera – Range Ops XR Review

This trail camera from Browning has a super fast trigger speed of 0.67 seconds.  It also has 2.1 second recovery time before to take the next picture which is also very good. So it should be ready to snap a picture or take a video very quickly once the game is in range. This trail camera also boasts an 8 megapixel camera which is among the best in this price range. Plus, this camera will also allow you to capture HD video clips with sound. The flash range on this low glow unit is listed at a respectable 60 feet.

You might find a few trail cameras that have a few more megapixels or greater range, but at this price point the Browning Trail Camera – Range Ops XR is a solid performer.

Moultrie A5 Low Glow Game Camera Review

The Moultrie A5 is a solid unit with a good track record. The A5 is Moultrie’s entry level camera, but it still has a trigger time of less than 1.5 seconds. This low glow model has a decent flash range of 50 feet and runs on 4 C-cell batteries. The one area where the A5 falls a little short is with its’ 5 megapixel camera, which is on the lower end when compared to some of the other camera in this price range.  You can read more about what amount of megapixels means to your trail camera purchase here XXXX.

Moultrie has released an updated version of the A5 with the Gen 2 model shown below, but many of the changes are cosmetic. This means that you can get the A5 for a bit less than the Gen 2 model. So if you want a solid camera at an affordable price the Moultrie A5 is certainly worth your consideration.
